Wooden Cutlery Manufacturing Process — Birch

From FSC-certified birch logs to finished disposable cutlery — select a step to watch that stage of YADA's production line.

Step 1: Raw Material Selection — Birch Wood Logging & Steaming

Birch logs of 18–24 cm diameter are sourced from sustainably managed FSC forests, segmented, and steamed to soften the wood, remove bark, and sanitize the surface for food-contact safety.

Step 2: Slicing into Veneer Sheets & Precise Punching

Steamed birch logs are sliced into uniform veneer sheets, then precision-punched into exact cutlery shapes with automated tooling for consistent dimensions.

Step 3: Accurate High-Pressure Forming

Veneer blanks are dried at high temperature, then pressed into cutlery under high pressure, giving each piece the strength, smoothness, and finished profile buyers expect.

Step 4: Second Polishing, Sorting & Automatic Packaging

A secondary polish removes residual dust for a smooth finish; automated selection machines screen out imperfect pieces before fully automatic packaging lines take over.

Step 5: Custom Hot Stamp or Printed Branding

For OEM/ODM orders, logos and text are thermally hot-stamped or printed onto the cutlery surface, giving your brand a clean, durable finish.

Step 6: Quality Control & Final Inspection

Every batch is inspected for dimensions, construction, and finish against FDA, LFGB, and internal quality standards before it leaves the production floor.

Step 7: Shipping Packaging & Delivery

Export-grade packaging protects product integrity; containers are inspected for cleanliness before loading, ensuring safe, on-time delivery worldwide.
