• Birch wood: Northeast China (Heilongjiang, Jilin provinces) and Russian Far East �� both regions known for cold-climate birch with tight grain
• Bamboo: Anhui and Fujian provinces in China �� fast-growing moso bamboo, 3-5 year harvest cycle
