How are carbonized bamboo chopsticks and toothpicks made?

Carbonized chopsticks and toothpicks are baked at 300-500°C.

Polished bamboo blanks are charred in a temperature-controlled oven at 300-500°C. The heat evaporates moisture, hardens the bamboo, deepens its color and makes the surface water-resistant.

Production steps

  1. Select mature bamboo and cut it into blanks
  2. Polish blanks to remove sharp edges and burrs
  3. Char at 300-500°C for hardness and water resistance
  4. Cool naturally, re-polish and inspect before packing
